Coding plans

A coding plan is a flat-rate subscription for coding tools whose API key works only on the plan's own endpoints. Tempr Gateway serves 30 of them, each as a provider of its own, so the plan keeps paying while every request gets your key's logs, limits and guardrails. This page lists each plan's models, the APIs Tempr uses for it, the tools its vendor supports, and where to get its key.

Use a plan from your tool

Name the model by the plan: zai-coding/glm-5.3, kimi-code/k3, minimax-plan/MiniMax-M3.1-Flash-Preview. Once a plan's key is stored, GET /v1/models lists its models with the rest. Tempr can get the plan's key two ways:

Stored in Tempr. Add it under Provider keys in the Portal (or Org keys for an organization). Any tool that talks to Tempr with your virtual key can then use the plan: set the base URL and pick the model.
Sent with each request. Your virtual key goes in x-tempr-key and the plan's key in Authorization: Bearer (or x-api-key from an Anthropic-style client). The tool needs a setting for an extra header. The key is used only for the plan whose model the request names, only in that plan's key format, and never stored. An organization's keys accept it once an owner or admin turns on Plan logins.

Which tools a plan accepts

Most vendors sell their plan for the coding tools they support, and their terms say so. Some go further: Alibaba Cloud's Coding Plan refuses requests from other tools, telling them apart by the identity (User-Agent) each sends, and users report Kimi Code doing the same. Tempr forwards your tool's own identity to the plan and never sends a different one, so a plan behaves through Tempr as it would without it: a supported tool works, and an unsupported one is refused where the plan checks. Your own app, a script, or Cursor, whose requests come from Cursor's servers, is the most likely to be refused. Each plan below gives its rule.

Every plan

The models are the ones each vendor documents; any other model a plan serves works too, named the same way. Messages is Anthropic's API, which Claude Code and Claude Desktop use; a plan that has it gets their requests as they are.

Read your plan's terms

A coding plan's terms are its vendor's, and Tempr can't change them. Many limit the plan to interactive use in the coding tools they support, and some forbid proxies, aggregation, sharing a plan across people, or use from your own apps. Using a plan through Tempr may break those terms and put your plan account at risk. Read them before you rely on a plan, and keep each plan to the person who pays for it.
